Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She attended The Brit School when she was 14 years old. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained an acting BA. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she played Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi role on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe debuted in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama program was telecast at The CW for only two episodes, but it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the previous two seasons would be leaving the show following a guest appearance in the premier episode of the new season. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 the actress got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her four older brothers were also in the family: twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She was a dancer. At 2 and a 1/2 and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing after she started Baby Ballet. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop and many more. In addition, she won the top awards for soloists in every important dance competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
